Privacy Policy

Last Updated: July 23, 2026

At Zylenta, we are committed to protecting the privacy of stock creators who use our browser extension, Zylenta Meta Pro (the "Extension"). This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and share your data, in strict compliance with the Google Chrome Web Store Developer Terms and User Data Policies.

1. Single Purpose Policy Compliance

The sole purpose of Zylenta Meta Pro is to assist Adobe Stock contributors in generating high-quality metadata (titles, tags, and categories) using AI integration, and inserting this metadata seamlessly into the Adobe Stock Contributor panel in bulk. We do not include any functions or features that deviate from this single purpose.

2. Data We Access and Process

To provide its core features, the Extension accesses and processes the following information:

  • Adobe Stock Contributor Page Data: The Extension reads text and image elements on your active tab when you navigate to the Adobe Stock Contributor site (contributor.stock.adobe.com). This data is processed locally in the browser to extract existing attributes (e.g., uploaded image previews, file details) for sending to your chosen AI model.
  • Extension Local Storage: The Extension utilizes your browser's local storage (via the chrome.storage API) to save user preferences, custom prompt templates, and user-configured API keys (e.g., OpenAI, Gemini, or Groq API keys). This data stays entirely on your local device.
  • API Keys and AI Configurations: If you use your own API keys for AI services (e.g., Groq, OpenAI, Gemini), the Extension communicates directly from your browser to these providers (e.g., api.groq.com, api.openai.com, or generativelanguage.googleapis.com) using HTTPS. We do not store your private API keys on our servers.
  • Zylenta Subscription & Authorization: For users opting to use the built-in Zylenta default AI key via our Growth Plan, the Extension securely communicates with our official server (app.zylenta.com) to check subscription status and request metadata generations on behalf of the user.

3. User Data Collection, Handling, and Storage

In accordance with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, we disclose the following details regarding the collection, handling, and storage of user data:

  • What Data is Collected: We collect your Zylenta login credentials (email and password, which are encrypted) and subscription plan details. We do NOT collect or store your uploaded image files, raw designs, or personal details on our servers.
  • Data Handling: Your credentials are sent securely via SSL/TLS (HTTPS) to our authentication endpoint at app.zylenta.com to verify your plan access. Once authenticated, your authorization token is handled locally by the Extension worker.
  • Data Storage: All user-specific settings, custom prompt configurations, and API keys are stored locally on your device inside Google Chrome's secure sandboxed storage (chrome.storage.sync and chrome.storage.local). No personal data or keys are stored on our servers.
  • Data Retention and Deletion: Your local data is stored as long as the Extension is installed. Deinstalling the Extension immediately deletes all locally stored data. You can request deletion of your Zylenta web account data at any time by emailing us at hello@zylenta.com.

4. Use of Permissions

Zylenta Meta Pro requires the following permissions to function. Here is an explicit explanation of why they are needed:

  • activeTab: Required to inject helper elements into the active Adobe Stock page, allowing you to fill in titles and keywords with a single click.
  • storage: Used to store your extension preferences, settings, and custom prompts on your local machine so you don't have to re-enter them.
  • sidePanel: Enables the Extension UI to display in the side panel of Chrome for a cleaner workspace.
  • notifications: Used to alert you when bulk metadata generation jobs are completed.
  • alarms: Used for periodic background tasks such as credit sync and license verification checks.
  • declarativeContent: Used to show the extension action contextually when you navigate to the Adobe Stock contributor site.
  • Host Permissions (*://*.stock.adobe.com/*, etc.): Allows the content scripts to interact only with your stock contributor panel, and securely contact the specified AI APIs for processing metadata.

5. Sharing of User Data

We are dedicated to maintaining your trust. We explicitly commit to the following:

  • We never sell, lease, rent, or trade your personal information or data collected by the Extension to third parties, advertising companies, or data brokers.
  • We do not transfer your data to third parties for unrelated purposes, marketing, advertising, or credit scoring.
  • All data processed by the Extension is used exclusively to write metadata back to your active tab.

6. Security of Your Data

All communication between the Extension, the Zylenta servers (app.zylenta.com), and external AI service providers is encrypted using industry-standard Secure Socket Layer (SSL/TLS) connections (HTTPS). Your API keys and custom configurations are stored locally on your device and are never sent to third-party servers other than the selected AI APIs you choose to call.

7. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to align with new features or legal requirements. When we make updates, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
